Well, he tried to!
Somehow in the middle of the night, Charlie, our 1 1/2 yr old wire-haired daschund got my purse and proceeded to gnaw on the earpiece of my reading glasses.
He chewed on the velcro curlers I had stuffed in my purse over the weekend.
Fortunately, he left the $20 bill intact!
